AINO’S STORY…

AINO SIREN

Mentor & Healer

ERYT 500 Yoga teacher, Reiki Master, Raindrop Technique Practitioner, Yoga Teacher Trainer & Mentor, and founder of SIREN SPIRIT

Aino started dancing when she was 3 years old. She has enjoyed many different styles including ballet, jazz, show dance, flamenco, hip hop and street jazz. She has performed in several dance productions, and has competed at the national and international levels. For a time, Aino was also enrolled in circus school, and trained for a few years in gymnastics. Aino's mother lovingly jokes, "Thankfully her brothers liked being home, because taking Aino to all these hobbies was a full-time job!"

Aino was an exchange student in Illinois in 1997-1998, when she first came to America. Right before flying to Illinois, she stayed in New York for a week with a large group of other students from the program. It was then that she fell in love with NYC and vowed to live there by the year 2000. Sure enough, she officially made the move to NYC in December 1999.

Aino was part of a dance program at the late Dance New Amsterdam (formally known as Dance Space) for 3 years, and took her first yoga class there with Thea Frey. This was the start of Aino's longstanding love affair with yoga.

She went on to complete her 200-hour teacher training at Yoga Works with Chrissy Carter and Jodie Rufty, followed by her 300-hour training at ISHTA Yoga with Alan Finger, Sarah Platt-Finger and Jean Koerner. She has also received specialized training in Restorative Yoga, Yin, Yoga Nidra and Marma therapy.

Aino has been teaching yoga since 2008 and is deeply anchored in the teachings of Tantra & Kriya Yoga. She was a Teacher Trainer and Mentor for the ISHTA Yoga Teacher Training program both in NYC and Finland for years. She is also a Raindrop Technique practitioner as a well as a Reiki Master, and hosts yoga retreats at her home in Upstate, New York and around the world. In March 2019 Aino started to spontaneously channel light language during a ceremony, which opened up a new dimension for her to work with and incorporate in her teachings.

Her mission is to help you remember who you are.

As a former dancer, Aino has a strong kinesthetic connection to her body. She is known for her interesting sequencing and her in depth understanding of how the body works. She brings a wonderful blend of self-awareness and insight combined with a lightness of spirit and humor into her life.
