BALI YOGA RETREAT

February 8-15, 2020

led by Aino Siren & Peter Ferko

with guest lecture by Wendy Newton

Blue Karma Nestling Escape lies high in the hillside just outside Ubud, surrounded by rice fields and rainforest climbs. Some say this boutique resort is an oasis nestled within the space where heaven and earth blissfully meet. It is the perfect place to escape from everyday life to find peace, relaxation, and balance. The grounds boast a stunning infinity pool, gorgeous pagoda, and “Karma Yoga” gazebo surrounded by lush greenery and views of the tropical jungle.

Yoga means union, therefore the practice of yoga is bringing our mind, body and spirit into harmony. During this retreat you will do just that by immersing yourself in the true teachings of yoga; asana, pranayama, kriya, and meditation. In addition to Aino’s signature flow & yin classes, you will get to experience Yogiraj Peter’s lighthearted and inspiring asanas and meditations. As a special treat, Yogiraj Wendy will share her embodied knowledge on the Yoga Sutras through a tantric lens.

The week will be spent in connection with nature, exploring the holy temples close by, and learning how to just be. Come away with us to experience the true definition of luxury, and to discover the secrets of the intoxicating town of Ubud, the beating heart of Bali!

Yogiraj Peter Ferko

Peter Ferko is a yoga master who teaches classes, teacher training, and specialty trainings at ISHTA Yoga, both in Manhattan and internationally. He is the host of Peter’s Podcast which focuses on real yoga, actual happiness, and deep living. He has also served as co-director of The Table, a yoga and arts project in Brooklyn, along with his wife Wendy. Peter’s approach to yoga involves tuning out the voices that tell us what we can’t do and why we’re not “there yet” and tuning into the inner yoga. We are perfect yogis as we practice the yoga that’s perfect for us. In addition to his yoga pursuits, Peter is a writer, musician, and artist, and brings creativity, imagery, and a sense of humor to his teaching. His most recent book, co-authored with Alan Finger, is about meditation beyond mindfulness (currently in production).

“Asana and pranayama are the ways to balance physical and subtle energy, meditation is a chance to fill with understanding, and life full of energy and understanding is just plain better.” -Peter
